Katie Petyarre Morgan
Katie grew up in her homeland of Kurrajong Bore in the Utopia Region and enjoyed a painting career spanning over a decade. She used intricate dotwork to portray the flowers and seeds of her Dreaming, Atwakeye (Bush Orange), a story she shares with her younger sisters, who are also artists. In 2012, Katie was awarded the prestigious City of Hobart Art Prize, becoming the first Aboriginal artist to receive this honour.
